Are you the only Bail Enforcement Academy? A very heated topic...

Yes - If are a law abiding citizen that respects the law: The Bail Enforcement Academy® is a unique training program registered with the U.S. Trademark Office and protected by U.S.mguy.gif (9448 bytes) Federal Laws. Established in 1997 we are the first & only genuine BAIL ENFORCEMENT ACADEMY®. When we started our program 1997, being both ethical and responsible we chose an original name for this organization, "The Bail Enforcement Academy". Nowhere did  the Bail Enforcement Academy exist past or at the time, it is our identity as an organization. When we began teaching our course in various States we presented the program as the California Bail Enforcement Academy in California, the Pacific Northwest Bail Enforcement Academy in Washington, the Nevada Bail Enforcement Academy in Nevada etc.

In those earlier days there were two major programs. Both possessing unquestionable experience and ability, both  "quiet professionals", ethical in our competition. Each had their program, ways, and opinions, both based on extensive actual experience in the field.  It worked well for us at least, we are still here.

Times Have Changed - Those days are long gone bail enforcement has become a media circus. Our  respected longtime competitor sold out, and new training programs started popping up on the web. Usually run by "experts" previously unheard of prior to their new "web presence" complete with vague and/or unconfirmable claims of years and even decades expertise and experience.

Frauds: While we appreciate free enterprise, and and really prefer to "stay positive", we possess no fear of the truth and have been forced to defend ourselves. We believe there is no excuse for fabricated or exaggerated experience, trademark theft, plagiarism, or slander all of which we have experienced. Offensive to both the Bail Enforcement Academy and its Alumni, is this new "generation" of competitive "pirate training facilities"'.

The Bottom Feeders: Identity thieves and trademark pirates, some defunct and several current whom have felt it "fair play" to plagiarize our website, use our trademarked name Bail Enforcement Academy intact or with a little "spin", for the direct purpose of "siphoning" our success, appearances in documentaries, experience and reputation. Usually found in "bottom feeder position" below us in the search engines, these Trademark Pirates are simply trying to sell to you whatever "programs" they have created or purchased as the equivalent to our program. It is our policy the protect our trademark vigorously, although we are forced to tolerate the "financially challenged" pirates.

parasitism:  par·a·sit·ism association ;
especially
: one in which a parasite
obtains benefits from an unwilling host.

We are unaware of any ethically challenged individual(s) or organization displaying this activity that had actual honest training experience, ability, knowledge or skills useful to ones pursuit of real training. The Bail Enforcement Academy® has a strict policy prohibiting employment to those with criminal convictions or not meeting our strict ethical standards.

We always felt it is morally reprehensible to take a tuition fee from someone trying to become a working professional in this field with the full knowledge that the training program rarely if ever has done so. Further, all professionals universally agree, convicted felons have no place in bail enforcement what so ever let alone as "trainers".

We consistently see false claims of training experience, often claiming a decade or more of "training experience" yet no known graduates exist in the industry. We wonder where all these graduates are along with why they don't just come up with an original and legal name, be honest about their background and training experience, and do their absolute best to offer the an honest and original program they can be proud of , it worked for us.

There are and have been many competitive organizations and authors, not "ethically challenged", that feel no need to pirate any existing organization.

  • The genuine Bail Enforcement Academy® AND its Alumni are proudly NOT AFFILIATED with this  individual, his affiliates if he has any, or his parasitic endorsement free websites.

  • We have no desire of being confused with and/or attributed with his background or reputation on the web and amongst the industry.

  • The Bail Enforcement Academy® has a strict policy prohibiting employment to those with criminal convictions or not meeting our strict ethical standards.

"THE OLDEST BAIL ENFORCEMENT TRAINING ACADEMY" ?

Fact: First of all there is only one Bail Enforcement Academy®, attempting to use a registered trademark as a descriptive term isn't allowed.

Our organization has never been sold to "new owners" our claimed training experience is not purchased.

"Buying your experience", the goodwill of a business, has value, we just don't count it as honest actual bail enforcement training experience when evaluating the actual experience of the newly purchased organizations new owners. We feel no need to "cloak" or exaggerate our bail enforcement experience, and we did not buy this organization.

We are the oldest and most experienced originally owned training program we are aware of, period. We can assure you that the licensed Private Investigators/Bail Recovery Agents teaching your session are extremely experienced in the field, and recognized professionals. Beside the need to be an extremely effective and experienced  BEA, instruction is a far more complex matter than just ones bail enforcement experience in the field. In contrast to claims like "decades of exposure to the bond industry", whatever that means, we have an established and verifiable 10 + year track record of  confirmed training experience and lifetime Alumni support. No spin or code terms here, our training is provided by the most verifiably experienced trainers in the bail enforcement industry today.

We are not one of the "read the textbook aloud for two days" or "web interactive be a Bountyhunter Schools".  Reading books and watching videos training? That would mean everyone that has read these books is now a "trained" Bail Enforcement Agent, right? When they refer to themselves as an "Academy" we are embarrassed both for them and the industry. Question, to assure the Bond Agency of ones capability should they bring their "training" book and/or DVD's with them when seeking cases?

We have never used methods and tactics that compromise our values or violate the law (our task is to train persons to enforce justice) to recruit students. We have been rewarded for our values, we are regularly recommended and utilized by law enforcement, private investigator and bail industry circles. Our graduates consist of Bond Agents, referrals from Bond companies, licensed Private Investigators, former Law Enforcement and Corrections Officers  referred by law enforcement sources, members of security & risk management firms, as well as ordinary individuals whom wanted to successfully enter this profession. Our students have done the homework and time after time....... from all over the USA, this is where they attend, The Bail Enforcement Academy.

There is one Bail Enforcement Academy, there is one Bail Enforcement Academy Alumni, period. This is their Site, their Alumni Network, and their training program, and both are 100% BOGUS FREE, period.

I have seen a lot of "SWAT" type Training offered at some of these other courses, but not yours, why is that?

Bounty hunter training SWAT Wannabees
TACTICAL BOUNTY HUNTERS - THE S.W.A.T. CLOWNS - Bail Enforcement Training from "Combat Science" or "Tactical Training" SWAT Bounty hunter wannabee schools often run by "former law enforcement & military personnel". Leave your Kevlar helmet and Nomex Hood at home and stick with training by recognized by real professionals. Often marketed as "high profile recovery methods" most of these schools are created purely for profit by former paint ball trainers, retired military, gun ranges, law enforcement individuals, and occasionally, felons ineligible for licensing.  Usually with little or no experience in Bail Enforcement and cashing in on the industries current popularity. A quick visit to YouTube and there they target naive firearms and tactical buffs looking to become part of a "Bounty Hunter High Risk Recovery Task Force" or something similar sometimes even offering to include "hostage negotiation training".

Very often these organizations sell lots of "Bail Enforcement Tactical Equipment' and  you will learn in your "training" the absolute necessity of buying this merchandise. Such "programs", by creating the myth its all about tactical training actually falsely "confirm and validate" their expertise with the naive. Typically all LE Tactical matched to little or no Bail Enforcement experience with the exception of as a self appointed "Bail Recovery Instructor".

A well trained professional Bail Enforcement Agent whom actually has and does "walk the walk" does not need and does not use SWAT tactics to capture a fugitive, let alone run around wearing SWAT uniforms and Nomex Hoods as depicted on these SWAT Clown Websites. Please.......this is both ridiculous and highly undesired by the Bail Bond Industry.

These "field operations training programs" are basically appealing to would be "Rambo's" whom are not likely to ever find employment or any use for this "training". One such "Bail Gladiator Academy" adorned with embedded "Kevlar Clown Teams playing SWAT"  videos and childish audio gunshots. Most have a curriculum that is over 80% weapons & defense training. Without exception recognized  professionals in this field view such "courses" very negatively, often referred to as "SWAT Clown Training". For actual live fire firearms training we refer our graduates to real experts whom are both nationally recognized as such and utilized by Law Enforcement Agencies. We do however thoroughly cover the legal issues and realistic use of firearms in the profession.

FACT: Actual bail enforcement agents, especially the accomplished professionals are EXPECTED to be both effective and very discreet and DO NOT dress up as SWAT members EVER. The last thing the Bond Agencies desire is to have their recently hired SWAT clowns surrounded by VERY REAL and VERY ANGRY Police Officers on the 6 O'clock News.

FACT: The real professionals that make up this industry DO NOT network or affiliate with LE wannabee SWAT CLOWNS.

There are many training programs out there. What should I be looking for in making this important decision?

Practice your current "Investigative Skills":

#1 PROTECT YOURSELF, USE GOOGLE......SORT OUT THE CLOWNS, CONS, FELONS, & PIRATES: "Reputation, Reputation, Reputation" Do your research, it is very very deceptive out there. Don't be fooled by patriotic flags, 911 Memorials, "God Bless" slogans, " I've been on TV", or pirates stealing our trademark name Bail Enforcement "Academy". On any so potential training program, we strongly suggest you "Google" the name of the organization AND it's Instructors with the terms "bail", "investigator", or "bail enforcement felons" of any considered training program owner prior to enrollment, perhaps there is information out there you should be aware of like criminal activity/history. Who wants to start in this business possibly trained by and affiliated or associated with a felon?

SORT OUT THE PHONIES - We cannot believe the number of extremely exaggerated or completely fabricated experience we have seen, often combined with undisclosed criminal backgrounds.

Fraudulent Experience : Just bought the store or is it confirmable experience combined with an impressive BEA career? We have observed a huge increase in programs and associations operated by individuals with incredulous false claims of bail enforcement experience; scrutinize this issue thoroughly. Look for very brief Bio's claiming to be "active" and "years of experience" yet they have always resided in a State that prohibits bail recovery by law ? If so where did they get all that claimed yet unsubstantiated "extensive experience'', where and how long ago ?

Do they go to their real non-bail enforcement job after your weekend "training" is over?

In our 10 years we have heard nothing of the majority of these "seasoned professionals", other than at their "forums", used as "newbie steering zones", operated by themselves and administered by their "bail recovery expert" spouses. Look for quotes like "although I would suggest taking an online class from the suggested ones in the FAQ section".

You can create bogus experience with a keyboard; even  create your own media exposure, look for any actual confirmable experience i.e. a real confirmable and valid (vs revoked) State License as a bail enforcement, private investigator, or even an bail bond (insurance) agent ?

Experience in the actual skill Bail Enforcement Training? Can't touch us here. Look for the spin, what does blah blah  years of "combined" experience or the newest take: yada  "years exposure to the bonding industry" actual mean? Selling bonds perhaps? Are these "years" of Bail Enforcement experience actually training agents? What skills do they have as a instructor/educator ? Are the years of experience claimed as an agent even verifiable ? "Former Law Enforcement Instructors"? What experience do the instructors have in civilian bail enforcement? Is their program actually recognized, proven, and utilized by Bail Bond Agencies and employed Bail Enforcement Agents? And the big one, their reputation amongst industry professionals. Do you see links to their site from even a few reputable bail industry webs ? Call them on it, assure yourself before you invest.

Don't let them avoid the issue, ask the hard questions regarding both their program and their individual experience, look for "spin", vague, or unverifiable responses and of course VERIFY ALL CLAIMS OF EXPERIENCE.

#2 EVALUATE THE PROGRAM: Don't become another victimized wannabee with a diploma, a free one page website, "SWAT training", "association" dues, and NO CASES, ever. It's not just the expenses, it's your training, the development of your ability or lack thereof  to perform your vocation.

Do It Right the First Time

Questions to ask, things to look for

Student to Instructor Ratio - Yes we could have huge classes to increase income however we couldn't produce a graduate meeting our strict standards.

Is it realistic useful training ? Is it a governmental sounding "Bail Enforcement Gladiator School", with a curriculum that is primarily "weapons and defense oriented" or include NRA Courses for "fill" ? There are lots of new Rambo McSwat team wannabee courses out there, taking your money for  SWAT-type tactics sold as "Bail Enforcement Training" or in Washington, State required "Field Operations Training" by "Instructors" with little or no verifiable experience in the Bail Industry whatsoever!

The "Credentials "or "National Certification" Scams: Do not confuse these with a real government issued license. It can require as little as two whole days of "training" to receive a "National Certification" or "Credentials". Bogus: No government issued national certification exists, no such a thing, and got one "Credentials Mill" off to jail on FEDERAL CHARGES.

Fact : These desktop published "credentials" besides being humorous to real professionals, are not recognized or required by any State we are aware of. Taking pride in our credibility, we do not offer them, but you can get some here which cost less and are just as recognized as any desktop versions from any "weekend training programs "we have seen, no matter how much "experience" they claim.

Marketing to the Naive: Credentials = "Certified by the school itself ". No spin here we call it a Diploma, it indicates you have attended a program known to produce professional, successful, and capable Bail Enforcement Agents and at no extra charge eligible to utilize the consultation, mentoring and networking opportunities of our free Alumni Network for a lifetime.

It's not about getting sold "credentials" and spending a whole Saturday & Sunday "earning" them from a "professional" so successful in the business that they attend a "real job"M-F, typically unrelated to bail recovery.

The goal is to become a highly skilled B.E.A. whom is making serious money due to his exceptional investigative skills and successful apprehension rate.

What about the curriculum, is it the minimal State requirements like non lethal weapons and "field operations" certifications ?  Will the training give you the exceptional investigative skills ( the ability to find fugitives consistently ) required to become successful  and actually compete in this no nonsense highly competitive Industry? Assist you with establishing your Agency with free lifetime assistance ? Upon graduation will you be ready for your first investigation, to actually find your fugitive? If not save your money, the Bonding industry is aware of the financial losses involved in hiring "State licensed and ineffective" agents.

KUDO & LINKS SEARCH: One of the most important things to look for. Any kudos' or endorsements from actual former students now professionals in the industry acknowledging the quality of the program ? WHY NOT ? . Likely due to a lack of satisfied and successful graduates. A few of ours from bail industry professionals can be found here, they speak for themselves. No links from Bail Enforcement professionals to their websites ? No MySpace friends from the Bail Enforcement industry ? These are major red flags !

With Washington's new Recovery Agent requirements there are plenty of brand new " Field Operations Instructors" out there wanting money to "train" you and new ones almost every time we check the web. Please note there is no Bail Recovery experience, no, not even a day, required to become a Field Operations, OC, Baton, or Taser  Instructor, although some may have experience training security guards, and law enforcement in weapons, how many years ( let alone decades ) experience do you think the person teaching you Bail Enforcement field operations should have? Choose your program wisely.

Our program has and continues to be utilized by Bail Bond Agencies, Private Investigators, former Law Enforcement, and those from the public sector for a long time, we just celebrated our 10th Anniversary. With a ten year history of   pride in not only operating a successful training organization, but actually contributing to the bail enforcement industry. Our organization currently has more graduates active in the field than any competitor.....period.

Where are you located?

Sessions are typically held in Washington, California, Colorado and Las Vegas Nevada. We are also currently scheduled to present the seminar portion of our program in Detroit Michigan shortly.

Are the Instructors qualified? Are they Bail Bond Agents?

A Bail Bond Agent is by license, nature, and definition a Surety Insurance Agent (sales agent) hardly a qualification for Bail Enforcement , that's why the majority of Bail Bond Companies retain professional Bail Enforcement Agents or upgrade their knowledge and training by attending the Academy. In Washington State we now have "new expert instructors" confusing weapons training and tactical field operations" with the ability to track experienced fugitives.

We are the state of the art Bail Enforcement Training program, going into our 11th year, we are not gaining experience or "fine tuning" our program at the expense of your career. We are not "traveling weekends only trainers", our instructors are full-time, active, very experienced, highly skilled (90% Recovery Rate) Bail Enforcement Agents and State Licensed Private Investigators utilizing the most modern state of the art methods. We are referring to verified actual experience, not only is this important in the classroom, but also when getting a lifetime of assistance upon completion. As well, they are experienced at a course presentation of the quality one would expect at their local community college.

How long is the Course? How many students are in each session?

Completion of a pre-attendance home study  (approximately 10 hours) followed by three extensive days of training.

An optional fourth day is available to Washington State License Applicants to received certification in OC, Baton and Taser.

After attendance we are available on a lifetime basis for mentoring, consultation and assistance, free of charge, from experts with verifiable experience in Bail Enforcement, which is why we are a career program vs a "class" or "weekend presentation".

We limit our classes to 18 students.

Why so small?

Our curriculum evolved from training our own agents into an Academy open to the public for approaching 11 years now. Due to our realistic "hands on" curriculum we can not accommodate huge classes and still maintain the quality and integrity of our training. If our curriculum consisted of "video's" or "security guard/ SWAT training" we could have large classes and make large profits, however we have never been interested in providing that type of "training". Our goal is an employable and successful Bail Enforcement Agent with marketable skills.

How often are the Courses held? Why so few?

We are not retired, in spite of the demand for our classes, we make our living primarily from Bail Enforcement operations , our trade is the actual tracking & apprehension of fugitives, not the Academy. This limits our sessions to an average of six per year with  two held in Washington State , since our program is national, the remaining four are held throughout the USA.

Due to circumstances I can't attend the currently scheduled session how can I find out about the next session?

Subscribe to our update list here, we will email you when the next session is officially scheduled.

How much is Tuition? What does that cover and what do I get?

At this time $550.00, increasing to $575.00 August 2009. For early sign-ups, a $300.00 Non-Refundable Deposit can assure you a place in class. Your tuition fee includes your pre-attendance Home Study Course, three full days of training, entrance to the Alumni, the knowledge and resources to begin a successful career as a Bail Enforcement Agent, free support for a lifetime. Advice when you need it, as well as case referrals.

Are there female Bail Enforcement Agents in the industry?

Yes there are, both in the industry and our Graduate Alumni. We train our Graduates to use intelligence and professionalism in the performance of their job, as well as use partners and Law Enforcement assistance. Ones gender or physical limitations are factors that can be compensated for.

If one has experience in Law Enforcement or  the Military, should I consider this training?

Yes, Military and Law Enforcement  experience, although not required is a plus, however this is different, a fact appreciated  by the former law enforcement and military members whom have attended.

Do you have a Dorm? Where can I stay will attending the Academy?

No at this time we do not have a Dorm, however there is economical lodging as well as public transportation available. A list of economical motels can be provided and we have usually arranged for a special rate. You can check with your Travel Agent as well.

Do you offer an "Online, "Correspondence" or Video Course?

The are lots of these out there, in fact there are web discussion sites out there actually created and operated by the authors of some of these "training opportunities" solely to market and lend credibility to their programs. Authors are authors, reading is reading, training means training. Sorry, although the web contains forums and blogs created and maintained for the purpose of directing web traffic to these "convincing opportunities", we do not offer Bail Enforcement books, videos, via UPS or "Become a Bountyhunter Online" , or the latest one, the "conference telephone call format ".

Frankly, although laughable, we are not amused by those that do. Such "resources" should be closely scrutinized. Extensive web presence, multiple sites all directing you to the same "program", usually presented along with "testimonials" from "Agent Scott J" or  "Agent John Doe" , some of these "education by UPS" programs even refer to themselves as "institutes", "schools", or even "academy's"  when actually they are DVDs, tapes, or books sometimes made more profitable by being presented as an "Online Seminars" or actual two day seminars where they "read along" the same books as they sell on the web.

The idea that any author or organization, including this one**, that claims you can become an effective and properly trained Bail Enforcement Agent, let alone a highly skilled Investigator, through a "Bail Enforcement Training In Box" program ( books, videos, correspondence, online etc.) is to put it mildly, a profit providing myth.

Ask yourself is it likely the professionals in this industry would offer a case to or want to network with someone with this type of "training"?

Imagine yourself out there actually attempting to secure work from a Bond Company or network with a real professional, telling them you are properly qualified fellow professional because you "read a book, had one read to you for two days, watched a video, trained "interactively online", or "over the telephone". Something to consider prior to investing your money.

Anyone that truly has something to teach would certainly not be comfortable with this this type of "training". Apprehending fugitives is by nature a potentially hazardous vocation, for liability most "UPS training   kits" recommend that upon completion,  you mentor under an experienced agent in spite of them just having "trained" you. Maybe you should look for someone interested in mentoring you without the expense of the training kit instead, our actually attend a reputable program. You wouldn't attempt to learn how to fly a plane by book or video at   "beapilotbymail.com.com" because it was "cheaper" or "didn't require travel". Your success in this trade will be based on how well you are trained. In over ten years in existence we have seen dozens of these Websites come and go (with somebody's money).

In spite of any advice from the "web experts" or their wives at their "professional sites", you can't learn or professionally teach these skills by correspondence. You need to expect that properly training to enter this field is going to require a financial investment beyond the purchase of publications.

We are highly experienced Private Investigators, BEA's, and Bail Enforcement Training Instructors, real experts, not authors , or the  wives of Bail Bond Agents (we do not recognize surety insurance sales and bookeeping as bail enforcement experience). Quality training requires experience, personal interaction and a great deal of personal commitment of an Instructor , far more than handing your "best ever training program" to the UPS guy.

Like most things, you can expect to get exactly what you pay for. Do it right the first time.

** We do however as part of our program  have Pre-Attendance study material, our text. You are encouraged to obtain it to learn more about this industry and assist you in making a decision regarding a career as a BEA. It is not however, intended or represented to replace attendance of the Academy and participation in our complete curriculum.

I don't live near the Academy is there another course near me you would recommend?

One of the most popular bail enforcement questions asked or posted elsewhere on the web: Where is training right in my backyard? This question is now ignored at most websites, why? Because all professionals know it's about commitment, not convenience. Traveling "all the way" to an Academy Session is the least measure of your commitment that you will see in this business, travel is a part of this vocation.

From almost every State in the USA, our program has always attracted the serious and committed, and those sharp enough to accept that A) the best training is worth the expense and effort to get to no matter where they are being held. B) It takes more than a weekend of "bountyhunter training". We also get plenty of contacts from graduates of other programs that can't get work asking us to assist them.

  • We are real experts, the Bail Enforcement Academy® is not an "extra income weekend program". We do not travel all over the USA selling convenient 2 day weekend "training" and return to other non-related vocations M-F, never have and never will.

  • We are here to train committed individuals to enter this vocation as competitive professionals, not a hobby.

For the last decade students from all over the U.S. have attended the Academy (see our Network here). Recent  Las Vegas Sessions included students from Alaska, Washington, California, and as well as three separate Bondsman from both the Carolina's. In the past decade we have had students from practically every State in the USA. Why have they traveled so far? If you want to be amongst the best and most successful Agents in this business you will invest in your future wisely.

Do I get a free Membership in a fancy sounding "Professional Association", badge, challenge coin, T-Shirt, coffee cup, key chain or wallet "Credentials" included in my Tuition?

The "Associations & Credentials Scams" - Yes, we actually get this question. Sorry this is a serious organization. We are professionals training soon to be professionals. We are not in the "Professional Association business", we haven't taken the 1-2 hours it would take to create a do nothing for ya  "Association for our Graduates", due to our values and integrity we would have to call it the "How to get annual dues every year out of naive newbies association" and that just would not sound as good as the total scams out there. A word to the wise; if someone claims you will obtain employment through their "Association" or "National Certification or Credentials " ( "Certification" issued by whom? definitely not a governmental agency or State, more than likely created on a home PC,  make your own save money). Be sure to ask for a complete list of Bond Companies that require or even utilize their "certified and credentialed" agents, then do the math before you pay $$$$ for these "diplomas and certification credentials". One ambitious "bail enforcement association mill" has made a living creating "bail recovery associations" and successfully selling them, recently creating his fourth "network". Ask yourself, if you were a Bond Agency, would you look for an talented professional BEA on a list of "credentialed professionals" made up of graduates from a two day "certification" class ? Certification & Credentials for TWO WHOLE DAYS of training ...LOL, "certified" for MySpace or some "experts" forum maybe. Not ready to compete with the actual professionals.

With the exception of the new NABEA (under Mel Barth) we have never seen one that wasn't all about profit for it's "Officers".

We are confident you will realize this expense is just as useful as a logo coffee cup or wearing Bail Enforcement Agent attire in seriously getting into this industry. So called wallet "credentials" & T-shirts etc. can be purchased from police/detective supply sites, and are usually a "newbie" item along with a new MySpace website to display this junk on. If you have legal documentation to apprehend a fugitive why would you need those bountyhunter school desktop published, non-government  published "credentials"? One of the quickest ways to alienate law enforcement in the field or separate yourself from the established professionals is to produce these ridiculous "Credentials" or  "Certification". They are however a sincere tribute to the old "Become a Private Eye" mail order kits of decades past.

Our Alumni is our Association, we offer our Graduates continual advice, support, mentor support, access to the restricted Alumni Only Networking Website (message board, chat, forms etc.)   and Case Referrals for FREE. As an Alumni member you are included in our very active nationwide Network of professional Agents. And YES we actually get calls from all over the country, regularly. Additionally since getting active as an actual working Bail Enforcement Agent is a big part of our curriculum we assist you in creating an Industry presence as well.

What are the age requirements?

Minimum 18 years of age to attend the Academy.

I have a felony conviction can I become a B.E.A.?

Sorry, we don't know anyone whom would be interested, as well a lot of States would prohibit you by Law. In that several felons have attempted to pirate our trademark or plagiarized this site we are especially not interested. Questions regarding criminal convictions and other legal matters should be addressed with the State authorities regulating the bail industry in your State.

Do you provide a job upon Graduation?

Although we do hire our Agents through the Academy, we make no promises to do so. This is a self-employed trade by nature, however, we do teach and assist you in securing employment and becoming active in the trade, our support after graduation is not limited to listing you on a "Rooster" of recently "Credentialed Agents". Our reputation and web presence generate inquiries from Bond companies from around the country for training and for referrals to Alumni Agents. Nor will you likely be trying to network with inactive and unsuccessful "graduates", we have many Graduates active in the industry, some of them have their Bail Bond or Bail Enforcement websites listed on our links  or endorsements pages. We can state, that in a decade, we have never had a graduate, with the commitment necessary, fail to become active as a Bail enforcement Agent.

What are the Laws in my home State? After Training will I receive a license in my home State?

Some States require a licensing for Agents, with differing requirements for obtaining one, at this time most do not , your State might, you may want to check your States law. This information is usually available at your States homepage, often under the states insurance or professional license sections, we are prohibited from giving advice on State Laws and legal issues. Time prohibits our ability to constantly monitor 50 states for changes. We do assist our Graduates in completing any additional State requirements to get started in their specific area of operations.

Myth: "If I get licensed as a B.E.A. in my State all the bondsman will be impressed and put their Agencies financial survival in my hands"

Fact: No State licensing program provides training in the ability to locate fugitives, the actual job. These programs are to protect the rights and safety of the public and are purely legalistic. The bond industry requires ability to even consider you for a single case, they already have had too much experience with the "newly State licensed and ineffective". As a B.E.A. one is hired to locate a fugitive an experienced Bond Agency can't find, will your training qualify you for that task ? It will take more than the "state required weapons certifications" to be considered by  your potential clients.

The knowledge for such licensing while important and of value, by the most part is legalistic and checking ones background and has little or nothing to do with the secrets of tracking, apprehension, or "street survival skills". We have had a great deal of experience and communication with the Bail Enforcement industry, and we have found time and time again "State approved training" "State licensed Agents" whom have no clue on how to locate difficult fugitives. No matter what license you have, the only way to succeed in this business is by have an excellent reputation for success, if you can't find them you can't apprehend them.  If your training did not include intensive investigative skills, do not be optimistic about your future in this competitive field. This is what our training concentrates on and provides. We are here to provide Graduates with the skills and knowledge to required to do this job, licensing if required in the area you intend to conduct operations is something you must do after you have the knowledge to do the job.

Few Bond Companies are going to assist or sponsor your a licensing if you have no training, no capability, and no resources.

How much income do Bail Enforcement Agents typically earn?

The typical compensation is 10% - 20% of  the Bond involved in States not requiring licensing, as much as double for highly effective State licensed Agents. Example: Apprehending or causing the apprehension of a fugitive with a $75,000 Bond would pay $7500.00 to $10,000 and often there is additional payment for expenses, prisoner transport etc. There are also minimum charges for small Bonds. Keep in mind that only those consistently capable and effective at locating fugitives are ever given the large bonds and make the big money. The vocation is different for the minimally trained or skilled, to quote one "web forum professional"......

"Most of us maintain full time jobs, or diversify".....and goes on to recommend the same TWO DAY training "program" from whom he received his "credentials".

Unless your goal is to be a similar web "credentialed professional" with plenty of spare time for espousing your "expertise to the naive "on the Internet, it is very important you obtain the necessary skills and not become this type of Agent.

This is the what our training is about. We recently had two Alumni members prove our methods with the exoneration of a million dollar bond. Many of our top Alumni agents make six figures, in contrast those attempting this vocation with "credentials" and limited or no investigative skills always fail in this business.

The $$$ Million Dollar Congratulations

I attended another training course and I also paid my dues and joined their Association, still I can not seem to get work. The school does not seem able in assisting me, for a fee will you assist me in obtaining work?

We know........... in the real world of Bail Enforcement talent and ability are the requirement,  not "credentials". Being listed in a "Nation Wide Directory Network" of individuals that read a book or spent a "whole weekend" training has never gotten anyone very far we are aware of. We only refer our Graduates, we know they are properly trained and thus worthy of our recommendation. We suggest you enroll in our program as many others in your situation have over the past decade.

What about Firearms and Permits?

We can only keep track of laws in our area of operation. Although we cover the B.E.A.'s use of both lethal and non-lethal force in our curriculum, local laws vary, it is your responsibility to be aware of all legal issues pertaining to the jurisdiction you operate in.

What do you mean by free lifetime consultations?
